Process Development Engineer

We are the Mechanical Engineering and Prototype Sample Shop Team and we are part of the Electrification Division, Control Technology Tech Cluster in Vitesco Engineering.

We are building samples as part of development process for high tech electrification products carried out in our location.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ability to perform and coordinate the specific activities requested within the Prototype Shop as : forecasting ,planning and executing the prototype samples at the requested level of quality and within requested time-frame;
• Modification and optimization of mechanical designs for Electrification Projects as Battery Management System and High Voltage Distribution Box;
• Review designs and work instructions together with the design engineers and offer qualified support for Design To Manufacturing;
• Organize and optimize the assembly flow with regard to : tools ,equipments , machines,operators;
• Create the control plans in collaboration with Quality Assurance colleagues;
• Introduce and handle new technologies and processes;
• Set-up of machines and equipments;
• Handle supplier and customer communication.

Job Requirements:

• Relevant working experience in mechanical engineering (automotive experience is appreciated) and prototype or serial production;
• Ability to share knowledge and act as a coordinator;
• Good technical skills and ability in technical drawings reading;
• Good knowledge of assembly processes , injection molding, deep-drawing, punching and machining technologies;
• Knowledge of laser welding ,soldering , brazing;
• Knowledge of CAD tools (Creo - preferable, CATIA V5, Inventor etc.);
• Good English knowledge;
• Good communication skills;
• Good MS Office knowledge and skills;
• Well organized person, attentive to details, rigorous.
